Description:Department: EDMS TechnologiesBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience is required. Must have five (5) to six (6) years of systems analysis and programming experience, including PERL, Korn Shell Script, AIX and Windows; and proficiency in VB and Microfocus COBOL. Must have knowledge of Sybase and DB2. Desired experience includes ANSI Translator, HPII, FileNET, COLD, Mainframe, JCL, OCR, and Contract Management. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus. Must have ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies and apply them as part of integrated solutions to business requirements. Must have a working knowledge of the software development process including requirements gathering and analysis, design, selection of tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies, and deployment management. Must have project planning and self-management skills, including scope of work, time estimation, and project execution. Must have strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to create original concepts/theories. Must have ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate success in leading application projects of small to medium effort, i.e., 350-1,500 hours, and have ability to make significant technical contributions to application projects. REWARD LEVEL III. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and implementing the purchase, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software required by BCBST.
