Description:

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you are responsible for applying system analysis and design skills in a research or scientific operation. Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related computer systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system. Prepares specifications for development of computer programs; determines and resolves data errors/problems; coordinates work with program users. May review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel, etc. Recommends course of action.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Performs complex analysis and design for various business applications.

Under limited supervision, acts as a liaison to define business problems with existing programs or initiate designs of new applications.

Ensures customer acceptance by soliciting their involvement on designs, functionality, and testing.

Maintains communications with end-customers to ensure systems continually meet or exceed the customers? expectations.

Prepares data models, functional flow diagrams, and other documentation as required by departmental standards and methodologies. Follows and acts as a leader for the department development methodology.

Assists or leads detailed project planning efforts on larger projects, and may act as a project manager on smaller development efforts.

Prepares and presents project deliverables to the appropriate management for project review throughout the development life cycle.

Assists or leads the preparation of feasibility studies and may present the requests for funding of the project.

Devises solutions to system-related problems and issues which may involve frequent communication and close user cooperation with other system analysts or engineers to assess and identify probable conflicts and investigating diverse data elements and sources.

Coordinates and reviews the testing of applications, the maintenance, revision, updating of current code and improving functionality.
