Our goal is to ensure full integration of brand, industrial design, software design, user interface, usability, and business strategy. The EXG Design group is a multi-disciplinary team of designers and creatives working side-by-side with product designers, software developers, and marketers focused predominantly on Xbox and Zune. We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to help manage multiple projects in a creative environment: the end-to-end production of all assets, prototypes, and deliverables that our team produces. Working in close partnership with the team leads, you will help ensure that our team has the appropriate processes, resources, tools, and direction to produce high-quality deliverables to our customers in a timely and effective manner. The ideal candidate will interact with people across Zune, Xbox, and other groups within MS working on various projects acting as the focal point for project requests, day to day tracking of projects for our group. We are looking for someone with strong problem solving skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to remain calm in a fast pace environment. This person will also function as a team steward, fostering collaboration and a positive working environment. Skills: Demonstrated strength in implementing processes and tools related to the production of art, media, and entertainment-centric assets. This includes product interfaces, interactive demos, and art assets needed for electronic and print consumption. Deep familiarity with a wide variety of tools used to develop relevant assets is a must. An understanding of internal Microsoft production tools (Product Studio, Source Depot, VSS, SharePoint, Project) and processes is highly desirable. Experience with 3rd party team and project management solutions is also useful. Experience managing relationships with external vendors and contingent staff is required. High standards of professional excellence and integrity are required, as are strong visual, oral, and written communications skills. The position requires organizational agility and working under tight deadlines and resource constraints when called upon. An ability and desire to work within a team-centric environment, flexibility, and a strong sense of humor is highly encouraged. A demonstrated expertise in scheduling and resource management is required. You must be detail focused and pragmatic, and be ready to assist the leads to balance the resource needs of all projects undertaken by the team. Qualifications: 3-5 years project production experience required. Demonstrated experience with content development, scheduling and budgeting required. Responsibility for scheduling and budgeting multiple projects required. Must be team player with strong leadership and communication skills. Negotiation and staffing experience required. Must have strong organizational and administrative skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must have the ability to learn new technology quickly. Art, film or multimedia production experience a big plus. Bachelor's degree in Communications or related area preferred.
