In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. John Deere Credit is seeking an IT Analyst to provide application development and support to partner in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units. In this position, you will: Have broad contact with responsibility to multiple departments and functional operations, and ongoing interaction with business contacts on tactical issues. Serve as a key team member in various roles including serving as a team lead. Follow processes for tasks with minimal review. Use discretion and judgment in planning own work/schedule and may have some responsibility for planning work/schedules for others on project related work. Actively work to share knowledge across workgroups. Apply information analyses to assist in the effective implementation and integration of a business process. Integrate medium to complex changes to existing processes with minimal review. Primarily perform as an individual contributor, but may supervise a small work team (6 or fewer members). Identify, analyze and select information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans. Participate as required to design, develop, test and integrate applications of medium complexity. Participate in the implementation of information technology and business processes of medium complexity. Support, evaluate, and continuously improve information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans of medium complexity and moderate risk. Participate in creation of project plans and schedules to meet business requirements. Have broad contact with multiple departments and functional operations and regular interaction with business contacts. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology. Required Skills and Experience Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints. Understanding of database administration and database design. Software programming skills necessary to create and maintain host based and/or web based applications. Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions. Business Process Knowledge of assigned area(s) and/or function(s). Analytical skills Previous experience in programming/software development. Experience with applications, computing and networking. Information technology experience and/or business experience. Work experience in a team environment. Desired Skills and Experience 5 or more years experience with Crop and/or Property & Casulty Insurance experience 5 or more years experience with IBM iSeries, COBOL, DB2, JAVA and .Net
