Working as part of the Online Assessment System team, this role involves learning and analyzing existing processes that utilize the project portal and propose new processes to leverage the functionality provided by Microsoft Office SharePoint. Specifically, the individual will analyze the existing use of the project portal, identify processes that could benefit with functionality provided by SharePoint, and propose a transition plan for those processes.

OBJECTIVES:

Research and define requirements

Analyze requirements and prepare summary

Work with Technical Project Managers to understand existing processes

Research and evaluate existing functionality provided by SharePoint

Develop and document workflows of existing and proposed processes

Provide weekly status updates to Mentor

Create functioning proof of concept of proposed SharePoint solution

Prepare presentation to Management

Knowledge of project management fundamentals is required.

MUST have programming skills!

Experience participating in team projects a must.

Knowledge of Six Sigma and CMMI a plus.

Minimum completed two years of college, three preferred in the field of general business management.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly motivated with minimal supervision

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Ability to internalize quickly and retain and apply knowledge

Strong attention to detail

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong familiarity with Internet browsers and Internet applications

DURATION: EIGHT WEEK SUMMER PROJECT
LOCATION: Internship project will be at CTB's office in Monterey, California or Burr Ridge, Illinois.
COMPENSATION: Hourly wage, housing, transportation and meal plan.
WHO SHOULD APPLY: Must be Junior status or above and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program.
