Position Description
Applies intelligence/image analytic principles, theories and concepts. Provides intelligence/imagery analytic solutions to a wide range of difficult problems by receiving general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives, where conclusions or recommendations can seriously impact program success, i.e., effect program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Demonstrates command of imagery analytic field and solves routine to difficult problems of expanded scope. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Applies intelligence/image analytic principles, theories, and concepts as well as related disciplines and multiple platforms at the journeyman level. Provides intelligence/imagery analytic solutions to a wide range of difficult mission planning problems (e.g., timeliness, availability and environmental suitability), with conclusions or recommendations having potential serious impact on program success, i.e., effect program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. . Develops mission planning strategies and solutions that are innovative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Demonstrates command mission planning principles and solves routine to difficult problems of expanded scope. Follows general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Communicates intelligence/image analytic principles, theories and concepts as well as related disciplines from multiple platforms to the journeyman level. Teaches the application of techniques and imagery sensor to be used against intelligence problems. Instructs theater and national imagery collection systems, as well as the fundamentals of digital and hard copy imagery exploitation. Provides subject matter expertise (SME) for the geospatial-intelligence analysis courses. Presents technical imagery-based courses to large and small groups of experienced imagery analysts, all source analysts and tracking office personnel. Utilizes a variety of training materials to include softcopy imagery exploitation systems, multi-media presentations, view-graphs, light-tables and hard-copy teaching aids. Develops operational scenarios to support integration of customer requirements with system characteristics, expanded to a coherent thread of day to day operations. Identifies practical applications/implementation of system to attain products or services. Implements alternate concepts as required to suit the changing customer requirements. Maintains and validates databases independently. Designs, develops or modifies databases to accommodate changing requirements. Implements testing of exploitation and analytical techniques. Conducts integration evaluation or debugging tests of new hardware or software, at the direction of senior analytical or management personnel. Assists in the research, evaluation, and testing of new exploitation and analytical techniques. Conducts evaluation or debugging tests of new analytical or archiving systems or techniques, usually under direction, guidance and supervision of senior analytical or management personnel.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
