Description:

Provide, implement, and maintain secure manufacturing information and process control systems which give timely, accurate information to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the Pasco plant and the Food Group.

Manage and support all computer systems, servers, process control devices, and telecommunications at the Pasco plant. This includes server configuration and builds, operating systems, software installation and configuration, and hardware installation and maintenance.

Manage the development and integration of plant-level manufacturing information systems by coordinating with Food Group Operations and Information Services to ensure consistency between plant and Food Group. Develop and implement custom IT solutions for site specific requirements.

Network design, implementation, management, and maintenance to assure that vital communications (consisting of PC's, PLC's, terminals, network switches, printers, hardware and software) are maintained.

Establish and maintain proper documentation and security on all plant-based information systems to ensure proper authorization for data access. Provides product evaluations for hardware, software and recommendation on purchases including assessment of requirements and technical fit with Simplot standards.

Manage the training of plant personnel in operation and maintenance of the plant-based, as well as division-wide, information systems.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Two plus years related experience and/or training.
