Description:Chico's 391-bed Enloe Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center, offers the North Valley a full continuum of health services ranging from preventative education and outpatient services to acute care, behavioral health, inpatient rehabilitation and home health and hospice services. We offer exceptional learning opportunities, including paid education time, tuition reimbursement, and loan forgiveness.Applications System Analyst The Applications System Analyst is responsible for IT system function of applications such as implementing new server hardware, loading new application software, updating software releases for all Enloe Medical Center applications. He/She will coordinate with the IS Application Coordinators in developing project plans on applications that require hardware/software installed or updates of existing hardware/software to insure all timelines are meant. He/she will have a working knowledge of all MS Office tools to include MS Visio. He/She will also be responsible for creating system project plans and working with the system consultants (i.e. Quorum) to develop preventive maintenance schedules for all the system software applications. He/she must have experience in Citrix, Active Directory, Exchange and SQL database. This position creates the documentation related to all system software applications installed in the Enloe Medical Center Data Center. He/She will be an integral part in creating the disaster recovery plan for Enloe Medical Center clinical and financial applications. He/she develops and maintains detail documentation to include frequent performance monitoring and creating monthly system reports to Management. The Applications System Analyst coordinates and facilitates the evaluation, design, testing, implementation and provision of assigned IS technical projects within Enloe Medical Center. He/she coordinates with other IS, vendors, and hospital areas as appropriate to address the cross-departmental IS technical functions necessary to assure integration of planning, delivery and functional capability. The Applications System Analyst assures understanding and compliance with all adopted standards and procedures of project management and project planning tools. The Applications System Analyst monitors, evaluates, and cultivates opportunities for technological enhancements or workflow re-engineering in assigned areas and provides recommendations to his/her manager. He/she serves as an expert consultant for assigned systems installation and upgrade projects for departments. He/she develops and documents detailed project plans, budgets, providing frequent monitoring and reporting of project status to his/her manager. The Applications System Analyst will comply with Enloe Medical Center and Information Services policies and procedures. He/she will perform other duties as assigned by his/her manager. The Applications System Analyst should have a working knowledge of HL7, to assist the Network Infrastructure Analyst when requested to test or assist with the implementation of an HL7 interface project in accordance with development standards and procedures. The Applications System Analyst must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to employees of Enloe Medical Center. These activities further the mission of Enloe Medical Center to provide high quality, cost effective care for the communities we serve. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: Bachelors in Computer Science and five years experience in a complex systems environment with over 150 servers and 85 applications in a Citrix environment required. - Five years work experience with different hardware and software platforms required. - Five years experience in database deployment, application software development and project management required. - Two years migration experience with Windows XP and Windows 2003 on the desktop required. - Three years combined experience with Citrix 3.0 to 4.0 and 4.5 environments required. - Current CA Driver's License. Desired: Three years of Automated Data Processing (ADP) experience including Software Management, Software System Implementation desired. - Three years experience in web page/technology deployment to the desktop desired. - Two years prior computer support experience in a hospital environment desired. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Strong organizational skills, ability to develop well thought out network configurations diagrams. Ability to organize complex networks, servers and application flow in a logical flow that can be used for presentations. Ability to document tasks and events and keep detailed records of project plans and system configurations. Excellent working knowledge of computer fundamentals, computer operations, and telecommunications systems methodologies. Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with co-workers. Ability to meet timelines and complete projects on schedule. General knowledge of the healthcare business and healthcare information systems. Ability to write technical documentation. Working knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project. Working knowledge of HL7 standard and development applied to a variety of interface integrations. Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a complex, sophisticated technical environment.
